Has anyone here used Betamethasone Val 0.1% Oint 45gm for eczema or psoriasis? What are your experiences?
I've been prescribed Betamethasone Val 0.1% Oint 45gm for my eczema, and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. I've heard it can cause some serious issues, but it seems like it can be really effective for reducing redness and itching. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What should I expect in terms of side effects, and how do you manage them? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
If you do get a rash, make sure to stop using it and contact your doctor ASAP. It could be a sign of a bad reaction. Also, the upside to the dryness is that it goes away after 7 days.
Be super careful with this medication. Make sure to avoid sensitive areas like the face and underarms. Check with your doctor if you notice any changes in your vision, as it can cause changes in eyesight.
I used it for psoriasis on my elbows and it worked wonders. But yeah, the side effects can be scary. Make sure to apply a thin layer, and use moisturizer after.
First time using it and my skin is thinned out. Is this supposed to happen? It feels like a blanket is missing from underneath my skin.
I've had really bad reactions to this stuff. Inflammation, hair growth, and some weird skin changes. I'd rather deal with the itching. Just be careful and listen to your body.
I've heard using this for a long time can weaken your adrenal glands. Just something to keep in mind if you're thinking about long-term use.
Burning or stinging with the application of the ointment is pretty common. But it shouldn't be super painful.
Be careful of the application. I once got some on my lips and it was not fun.
I've had really good luck with it. I've had some dryness, but it's been super effective at clearing up my psoriasis. I've never had any serious side effects.
I've been on this for a while now and I have this dryness that won't quit. Any tips on how to deal with that?
