Has anyone had success with Propafenone 425mg SR Capsules for atrial fibrillation?
I was recently prescribed Propafenone 425mg SR Capsules to manage my atrial fibrillation, and I'm curious if anyone else has had experience with this medication. It's supposed to help control my heart rate, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else had any issues or concerns with this medication and what was your experience? Does anyone have any tips on dealing with the potential side effects? I appreciate any input!
I've heard of fewer side effects with other drugs but my doc insists this is the best. Best of luck!
Just be ready for the “taste change” side effect. Thought I was losing my mind, but it’s normal!
This medication definitely helps, but it’s no cure. You'll definitely still need to take it easy and listen to your body.
I take it and it works for me but my doctor also says to stay hydrated and watch out for any infection signs.
I’m curious if anyone has had issues with swelling or weight gain. I’m only on week 2 but I’m already noticing some changes.
I switched to a different medication because I experienced some serious side effects. If you feel anything strange, don’t hesitate to call your doctor.
I was on Propafenone for a while, and it really helped control my arrhythmias. Just make sure to take it as prescribed and stay in touch with your doctor.
I had chest pressure once, but it was just a panic attack. Try to stay calm and drink water.
I had dizziness and fatigue at first, but it got better after a few weeks. Just be patient with your body.
I’m not sure how much better this is than beta blockers. I have had issues with Propafenone—some heart failure symptoms too. Talk with your doc.
