Has anyone had success with Amitiza 8mcg Capsules for chronic constipation?
I've been struggling with chronic constipation for years and my doctor recently prescribed Amitiza 8mcg Capsules. I've read that it works by increasing fluid in the intestines, which sounds promising. Has anyone else tried this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially regarding side effects like headache or stomach pain. Did you find it effective for constipation caused by opioid pain medications or irritable bowel syndrome? Any tips on managing potential side effects would be appreciated!
I had a bad allergic reaction to it. Rash, itching, and swelling. Definitely go to the doctor right away if you experience any of those symptoms.
My doc recommended Amitiza for my IBS-related constipation. It helped a lot but I had some stomach pain the first week. Stick with it if you can tolerate the initial side effects.
I’ve had a great experience so far. No side effects and my constipation is much better. It’s worth giving it a try if you’re desperate.
I've been on Amitiza for a few months now and it's been a game-changer. No more chronic constipation and the side effects were minimal for me.
I switched to Amitiza from another medication and it's made a big difference. No more bloating or gas issues like I had before.
I’ve been on it for a year now and it's been manageable. Just make sure to stay hydrated to avoid any issues.
I had to stop taking it because of severe headaches. Maybe it's worth a shot for you but be careful.
Be careful with the low blood pressure side effect. I felt dizzy a few times but it went away after I adjusted my dose.
I wish I could say it worked for me but I ended up with terrible diarrhea. Maybe it's worth trying but be prepared for some discomfort.
