Has anyone had severe side effects from Metronidazole 500mg Tablets?
I was prescribed Metronidazole 500mg Tablets for a bacterial infection and I'm worried about the potential side effects. The leaflet mentions some serious side effects like seizures and hearing loss. Has anyone else taken this medication and experienced any of these? I'm particularly concerned about the nervous system problems and allergic reactions. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Be careful, I had a severe allergic reaction the first time I took it. Swelling and difficulty breathing, it was scary.
My friend had some weird tingling sensations in his fingers. He stopped taking it and the symptoms went away.
I took Metronidazole for a vaginal infection and had no issues at all. It worked great for me!
I got really bad diarrhea, but my doctor said it was a common side effect. Drink lots of water if that happens to you.
Kind of off topic, but if you're taking it for a vaginal infection you might have a pungent smell due to the bacteria diein off. It’s gross, but normal.
