Has anyone had severe reactions to Neo/poly/hc 1% Otic Susp Green (ear) drops? I'm worried about the possible side effects
I was prescribed Neo/poly/hc 1% Otic Susp Green (ear) drops for a stubborn case of swimmer's ear. I've been reading about the possible side effects, especially the urgent ones, and I'm getting a bit anxious. Has anyone had any severe reactions to this medication? I'm really worried about the potential for hearing loss or allergic reactions. I've also read that it can cause changes in urine output. I've only started using it, so I'm hoping to hear some reassuring stories or at least know what to expect. Also, any tips on how to administer the drops would be greatly appreciated, as I'm finding it a bit tricky!
If you want to avoid the stinging, try putting the drops in your ear when it’s warm. Then it’s not that bad. I’ve used them a ton, and I’ve never felt bad.
I started using them and I felt dizzy. I didn’t know if that was a side effect so I didn’t know what to do. I just stopped taking them. I went back to the doctor and they gave me something else.
Just be careful you don’t miss any doses. I had an issue with that. Skipping a day made my ear worse. Also, keep an eye on your hearing. I noticed a slight change, but it went away after I stopped using the drops.

I’ve been trying to avoid antibiotics if possible. Have you guys tried anything natural?
I used these for a week and it cleared up my infection. I had no side effects. I will say, it's a bit difficult to put it in your ear. Try to get the right angle. You'll know you got it in right if it kinda stings. I just put a cotton ball in my ear to keep it in.
