Has anyone had serious side effects from Protonix (Pantoprazole) 40mg injections?
I was recently prescribed Protonix 40mg Inj, 1 Vial for severe acid reflux. I've heard about some serious side effects, and I'm a bit worried. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'm particularly concerned about the potential for allergic reactions and severe skin issues. How did you manage any side effects? Any advice or personal stories would be much appreciated!
This medication saved my life. I had severe ulcers and this was the only thing that helped. Worth the risk for me.
I had a really bad reaction to Protonix. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. Went to the ER and they said it was an allergic reaction. Be careful, man.

I had a friend who got C. diff from this stuff. It was awful. Make sure you know the signs and talk to your doctor if something doesn't feel right.
Seriously, if you have lupus, be extra careful. It can make it worse. My doctor warned me about that.
I've been on Protonix for a while and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild stomach pain and dizziness, but nothing severe. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
Be careful with the injection site. I had some irritation and swelling, but it went away after a few days. Just keep an eye on it.
