Has anyone had good or bad experiences with Benicar HCT 40/12.5mg Tablets for high blood pressure?
I recently started taking Benicar HCT 40/12.5mg Tablets for high blood pressure. I've heard good things about it, but I'm also aware of some serious potential side effects. I'm curious to know if anyone has had good experiences with this medication or if there are any other drugs you've tried that worked better? What should I be looking out for? Also, is anyone aware of any generic alternatives or other recommendations?
Be sure to keep an eye on your electrolyte levels. Benicar can mess with those pretty badly. My doctor told me to watch for muscle cramps and fatigue.
I've been on Benicar HCT for a few months now and it's been great for my blood pressure. No serious side effects so far, just a bit of dizziness at first. My doctor monitored me closely, but everything's under control now. I'd recommend it based on my experience! Up your water intake and stay out of the heat - the diuretic side can get you dehydrated.
I've been on this for a couple months. I have to be careful with the light, and a few of my moles have gotten a little bigger. They've been keeping a close eye on me... but it's got my BP in control, and I'm not sure I could ask for much more.
I've heard mixed things about this one. Some people love it, others hate it. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have.
I tried that drug, the doctor suggested it, but I couldn't stand the constant dizziness. My BP was fine, but I felt like I was constantly going to fall over. I switched to something else and I felt much better. It was worth a try, though.
I wish I could take one of these pills. My cousin has been taking it while my BP is still high. I'm sure it's not the same for everyone.
