Has anyone had experience with Nymalize 60mg/10ml Solution (Nimodipine) for preventing brain damage after a subarachnoid hemorrhage?
I recently had a family member who experienced subarachnoid hemorrhage and was prescribed Nymalize 60mg/10ml Solution. They mentioned it helps prevent brain damage by relaxing the blood vessels in the brain. I want to know if anyone here has any experience with this medication, both positive and negative. What are the side effects like, and how did you manage them? I want to better understand this treatment so I can support my family member through their recovery.
I have a relative who took this and they had shortness of breath. Scary stuff.
Does anyone know if taking Nimodipine for a long time has any long-term effects? I'm worried about my dad who's been on it for months.
My mom was on this after her aneurysm, and she swore by it. She didn't have any major side effects, just some mild headaches.
I had to stop taking Nimodipine because of severe dizziness. My doctor switched me to another medication that worked just as well without the side effects.
