Has anyone had a bad reaction to Hydroxyzine 50mg/ml Injection? Share your experience
I was prescribed Hydroxyzine 50mg/ml injection to help with anxiety before a minor surgery. The nurse said it would calm me down and help me sleep after the procedure. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone had a bad reaction to this medication? I want to be prepared for anything. Any personal experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. It's nerve-wracking to think about the symptoms like difficulty controlling body movements or confusion, and I really hope I won't experience anything like that. What about you? Anyone gone through an allergic reaction from it? How did you handle it? I’d hate to have that at the hospital while they’re prepping me for surgery.
I had a bad reaction to Hydroxyzine once. I got a rash and started itching like crazy. The nurse said to report symptoms and it could be life-threatening. It was so uncomfortable!
I had Hydroxyzine before a surgery a few years back and it made me so drowsy, I slept through the whole recovery. No issues with it, but I can see how the drowsiness could be problematic for some people. Keep an eye on that.
I think the biggest issue is the drowsiness. I had to sleep a few hours after the shot, but it worked like magic for my anxiety.

Don’t worry too much. Just make sure you’re in a safe environment and aren’t driving or operating heavy machinery. The worst part of it for me was the dry mouth.
I’ve never experienced any side effects. It’s worked great for me, I hate that it makes me so sleepy but that’s an easy trade off.
