Has Anyone Experienced Side Effects from Timolol Maleate 20mg Tablets? Share Your Story
I was recently prescribed Timolol Maleate 20mg Tablets for high blood pressure. I've been taking them for about a week, and I've noticed some dizziness and fatigue, which the doctor says are common side effects. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced these or other side effects? How did you manage them? The medication seems to be helping with my blood pressure, but I'm hoping these side effects will subside soon. I've also been reading about the more serious side effects, and while I hope not to experience them, I want to be prepared. Any insights or advice from those who have taken this medication would be greatly appreciated.
I feel pretty normal on 20 mg. The worst part has been the occasional dizziness. It comes and goes, but if you feel it, just sit down and let it pass. It’s weird, but I’m hopeful it will stop soon. It’s definitely better than the heart issues though.
I had a really bad allergic reaction to this medication. I had to go to the ER with swelling and difficulty breathing. Not fun. I switched to a different beta-blocker and it’s been fine. Please be careful!
I have to take Timolol after my heart attack. Honestly, the side effects were worth it to me because it’s helping a lot. Fatigue and sensitivity to cold are the worst, but nothing unbearable. Just stay positive and consult your doctor.
I didn’t get the dizziness and fatigue but instead had a lot of vision issues. I had changes in vision and a lot of eye strain. Talk to your doc if this happens. You may need a different dosage or even a different medication.
I've been on Timolol for a few months now. The dizziness was bad at first, but it got better over time. Just be careful when standing up quickly. Drink plenty of water and rest as much as you can. Good luck!
I took this for a month and then switched to a different medication because of the weakness and the fact that I felt cold. It’s not fun waking up shivering, but who knows, maybe it’s because of the weather. I’d definitely consult a doctor if it gets worse.
Why would anyone take this? The downside are serious. I’m so scared I was put on this medication. I’ll definitely ask to try something else.
I started feeling really cold and shaky a week after I started taking it. This was a bit concerning, but the doctor said it was a possible side effect. It went away after a couple of days. Just keep an eye on it!
I’ve been taking it for a while and my dizziness is gone, I still get a little bit of fatigue. I will mostly recommend this medication,
Strangely enough, I haven’t noticed any side effects. Just my luck, the only medicine that I am prescribed and I don’t feel anything. I’m taking it every day for high blood pressure and migraines. Stay safe and consult a doctor.
