Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Sodium Phosphates 3mm/ml Inj, 50ml?
I was recently prescribed Sodium Phosphates 3mm/ml Inj, 50ml to help with my low phosphate levels. The doctor mentioned it's important for strong bones and energy, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones like allergic reactions or fluid and electrolyte problems. Has anyone here had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. What should I be watching out for, and how can I best manage any side effects that come up?
I've seen first hand what an allergic reaction to this can look like in real-time. It was so scary. Scared the living daylights out of me. It began with hives and progressed to swelling of the mouth and throat. She had to be rushed to the ER. It was a nightmare. Took a week or so to get over it.
If you experience any severe symptoms, go to the ER immediately. Don't wait and see if it gets better. Plus, your doctor can always adjust or change your medication if needed.
I had a bad reaction to this medication. Not fun at all. Don’t take it if you can avoid it. I could barely move for a few days. I think there are better options out there.
Does anyone know if there are specific foods or drinks that can help manage the side effects? I'm trying to be proactive about this.
It's crazy how different people react to meds. My friend took this and had no issues, but a relative had a severe reaction. Like anything, seek medical help and good luck!
