Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Potassium Cl 10meq ER Tablets?
I've recently been prescribed Potassium Cl 10meq ER Tablets to manage low potassium levels. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced any of the more severe issues like allergic reactions or high potassium levels. I want to make sure I'm prepared if something comes up. How many people have experienced Stomach pain or diarrhea? I've heard that some potassium products have a wax matrix that may be visible in your stool, but is this true? This is a little discomforting
I had a really bad reaction to these a few years ago. I started feeling weird, like my heartbeat wasn't normal, and then I started getting really dizzy. It turned out I had high potassium levels. Scared the crap out of me, but my doctor caught it in time.
I've had blood in my stool that was enough to freak me out in the middle of the night. I instantly knew I was having a bad reaction, and rushed to the ER.
My doctor warned me about the signs of high potassium levels. He told me if I ever feel really weak or dizzy, or if my heartbeat feels off, to go to the ER right away. So far, so good.
If you're having a hard time with these, have you talked to your doctor about liquid potassium supplements? I know someone who switched and it made a big difference.
I had to go off these tablets because of severe constipation and stomach pains. I was pretty sad about it, but my doctor put me on a different supplement and I feel much better.
I've been on these for months and haven't had any problems. I take them with food and that seems to help with any potential stomach issues.
