I was recently prescribed Fosinopril-HCTZ 20mg/12.5mg Tablets for high blood pressure. I've been taking them for a couple of weeks now, and while they seem to be doing the job, I can't shake the fear of experiencing some of the more severe side effects listed. I've read about issues like allergic reactions, kidney problems, and even skin cancer. Has anyone else had any severe side effects from this medication? How did you handle them? I switched to this combination because of the persistent cough. I was told by my cardiologist that the side effect was less likely to occur with this drug than with some others. And so far, it's true! Just make sure you're drinking enough water. Also, I went through the process of getting a wearable blood pressure monitor to keep watch on my BP and I'm thrilled with it.
