Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Abiraterone 250mg Tablets?
I was recently prescribed Abiraterone 250mg Tablets to treat my metastatic prostate cancer. I'm taking it with prednisone to manage side effects. I'm curious to know if anyone out there has experienced severe side effects. I've been doing some research and it seems that some people have had serious issues. Or maybe my anxiety is getting the better of me. I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with this medication.
I think I'd rather deal with the side effects than the alternative. Cancer sucks, but at least this drug is giving me a fighting chance.
I was on Abiraterone for about a year and definitely had some rough patches. Definitely flushes, joint pain, and even had a nasty case of fluid retention that sent me to the ER.
Abiraterone saved my life, but it was a rough ride. The side effects were brutal, but my oncologist managed them pretty well. Just make sure you have a good doctor on your side.
Have any of you experienced issues with hair loss? I've been losing hair like crazy ever since I started Abiraterone.
