Has anyone experienced serious side effects from Amikacin 1gm/4ml Injections?
I've recently been prescribed Amikacin 1gm/4ml Injections to treat a severe bacterial infection. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced any of the serious side effects mentioned, such as kidney problems or hearing changes. The list of potential side effects is quite long and a bit scary. I had a friend who had severe allergic reaction to Amikacin. Swelling, hives, the works. They had to go to the ER. Scary stuff!

I had Amikacin and experienced some hearing changes. Ringing in the ears, mostly. It went away after the treatment though.
