Has anyone experienced Methylene Blue 20mg/2ml turning urine and/or skin a blue-green? How long does it last?
I recently had to take Methylene Blue 20mg/2ml syringe for a metabolic condition and the most noticeable effect was the blue-green color change of my urine and skin. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this, and if so, how long did it take for the color to go away?
I'm glad to hear others say it's normal. I felt worried it was a sign of a more serious issue or that it wouldn't go away. Thanks for the info everyone.
So I think I've read the blue-green discoloration can last for a week at most, but it varies and should fade overtime. But if you notice any other weird symptoms, call your doctor and check it out.
I've had it and it was pretty intense. My urine turned a dark blue-green and so did my skin around the injection site. It lasted about a day. Weird thing is, the doctors said it's normal and not harmful.
I've used Methylene Blue for a metabolic condition before. It actually helped a lot with my red blood cells carrying oxygen more effectively. Just make sure to keep a close eye on how your body reacts. The blue-green color was kind of startling, but harmless.
My daughter had a similar reaction to Methylene Blue after a diagnostic test. The nurse said it's a normal side effect and should go away after a few days. Make sure you drink plenty of water to help flush out the dye.
You should've seen me when I took it, looked like a smurf!
I never realized how many side effects this stuff can have. It does seem to be pretty effective for certain conditions, though.
That sounds intense. I've never taken it but my friend works in a lab and told me something similar about it.
