Has anyone else tried Tacrolimus 0.03% Ointment for severe eczema? How's it working out for you?
I've been prescribed Tacrolimus 0.03% Ointment 60gm for my moderate to severe eczema. My doctor says it should help calm down my overactive immune system and reduce the redness, itching, and inflammation. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else tried this and what has your experience been? Pro's? Con's? So far, I'm noticing some skin irritation, but nothing too bad. Fingers crossed it works! How long did it take for you to see improvements?
I switched to this after my steroid creams stopped working. It's been a battle, but Tacrolimus has been a lifesaver. Just apply it consistently and follow your doctor's advice. The other side effects list is long, but if you know how to spot them, it's not scary.

I started using it a few weeks ago and noticed some skin tingling, but nothing too bad. I think it's worth sticking with it if this is my last resort. Other creams I tried never worked.
