Has anyone else had severe side effects with Garamycin 0.3% Ointment?
I was recently prescribed Garamycin 0.3% Ophthalmic Ointment for a bacterial eye infection. I've been using it for a few days, and while it seems to be working, I've experienced some burning sensation which is quite uncomfortable. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar side effects or worse. The literature mentions rare but severe side effects like changes in eyesight and allergic reactions. Has anyone experienced anything like that? I'm a bit worried and want to know if I should be concerned or if this is normal.

I had changes in vision with this stuff. Doc switched me to something else. Side effects are no joke.
Maybe try cooling compresses to ease the burning. But yeah, keep an eye out for anything serious.
I had no issues with Garamycin. Maybe you're more sensitive to it? Try using less frequently or talk to your doc.
