Has anyone else had an issue with 'Brain fog' from Baclofen 10mg Tablets, used for Relieving Muscle Spasms? Has anyone tried a different dose?
I've been taking Baclofen 10mg tablets for the last 6 months to manage muscle spasms caused by my spinal cord injury. It's been great for the spasms, but I've been experiencing some pretty bad 'brain fog'. I'm wondering if anyone else out there has had a similar experience with 10mg tablets.
I've been doing some research but I haven't found much about 'brain fog' being a common side effect. I'm wondering if I should try a different dose or if this is just something I'll have to deal with. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. I just want to be able to function normally while still managing my symptoms.
If anyone has any suggestions for dealing with 'brain fog' while on Baclofen that would be great too. I've tried some things that have helped a bit, but nothing that's made a huge difference. I'm open to any suggestions, no matter how unusual.
Thank you in advance for any help or insights you can provide.
Brain fog is a well-documented side effect of Baclofen. It's thought to be caused by the way the drug affects GABA receptors in the brain. It might be worth trying a different medication. Also, make you're eating well and getting enough sleep, it can help a lot!
Brain fog is a real thing with Baclofen. I had it badly when I first started but then I switched from immediate release to the extended release and it went away. Talk to your doctor about it, there are options!
I had really bad brain fog on Baclofen and switched to Tizanidine. It's worked a lot better for me.
Ugh, I feel your pain. I had brain fog so bad I couldn't function. I ended up weaning off Baclofen and switching to physical therapy instead. It's been a lot of work, but it's made a big difference.
You might want to try a different muscle relaxant. I switched from Baclofen to Cyclobenzaprine and it's been a game-changer. No brain fog and my muscles are still relaxed.
I've been on Baclofen for years and never experienced brain fog. I take 20mg tablets, though. Maybe try talking to your doctor about increasing your dose? But definitely mention the brain fog, it could be a sign of something else.
I've had bad brain fog and muscle spasms. I've got a lot of help with high dose Baclofen but I switched to a med that targeted the nervous system more since my brain fog was due to that. Don't self medicate on this and schedule an appointment to see if Baclofen is still the best option.
I had brain fog on Baclofen too, but it went away after a few weeks. I was only taking 5mg though. How long have you been on it?
