Has anyone else experienced side effects from using Cortisporin Otic Suspension?
I've been using Cortisporin Otic Suspension for an ear infection, and it seems to be helping with the infection, but I've noticed some irritation around my ear. I'm a bit concerned because I've read about potential side effects like hearing loss and allergic reactions. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'd love to hear from others who have used this medication, and any advice on how to deal with the irritation. I'm a bit worried, but I want to make sure the doctor is notified if this continues or gets worse.
I had a terrible reaction to Cortisporin. I woke up with hives all over my body! Had to rush to the ER. Definitely call your doctor.
I always get a bit nervous with ear drops, but this one worked fine for me. Just be careful and follow the instructions.
The itching and redness I had went away after a couple of days. I would not worry. Just keep an eye on it.
I used it for a while and didn't have any issues. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully. Don't stick the dropper into your ear too far. Shouldn't cause irritation if you use it correctly.
I didn't have any side effects, but I made sure to finish the full course of treatment. Don't stop using it just because you feel better.
If you're experiencing irritation, try using a warm compress on your ear before and after applying the drops. It might help soothe the area.
I had some irritation too, but it went away after a few days. Just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, or if you notice any changes in your hearing, definitely talk to your doctor.
I had a friend who used this and ended up with a nasty rash. It might be worth trying a different medication if the irritation doesn't go away.
I used Cortisporin for a few days and noticed it helped, but I also had some irritation. But you can ask your doctor for advice and don't just listen to strangers on the internet.
