Has anyone else experienced severe side effects from Xopenex HFA inhalers (200 Pfs) 15gm? My doctor prescribed it, but I'm worried after reading the side effect warnings.
I was recently prescribed Xopenex HFA Oral Inh (200 Pfs) 15gm for my asthma. It's a rescue inhaler that's supposed to help open up my airways quickly when I'm having trouble breathing. I understand it works by relaxing the muscles around my airways, but the list of side effects is scary. I had a really bad reaction the first time I used it. Felt like my throat was closing up. Went to the ER and they said it was an allergic reaction. Never used it again.

I think the risk is worth it if you have severe asthma. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, right? Just keep your doctor in the loop.
