Fluocinonide 0.05% Gel 30gm: My Skin Feels Like It's On Fire!
I've been using Fluocinonide 0.05% Gel for my psoriasis for about a week now, and I'm not sure if I'm imagining things, but it feels like my skin is on fire when I apply it. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to worry about the side effects, especially the serious ones. I mean, I don't want to end up with Cushing's syndrome or anything. Any advice from anyone who's been through this?
Don't forget, steroids can thin your skin over time. Use it sparingly and always with moisturizer.
I felt that way at first, but it subsided after a few days. Stick with it and see if it improves.
I had a bad reaction and never went back. Skin changes were not worth it.
If it's too much, ask your derm about other options. There are plenty of topicals out there.
I had the same issue. It might be due to the 0.05% strength. Maybe consult your doctor about a lower dosage.
I used this for my eczema and never felt any burning. Maybe it's just a sensitivity thing?
I switched to a different topical and the burning stopped. Might be worth a try if it doesn't get better.
