Flagyl 500mg Tablets: Side Effects and Experience Sharing
I've been prescribed Flagyl 500mg Tablets for a bacterial infection and I'm curious about others' experiences. The sidebar lists a lot of side effects, including serious ones like aseptic meningitis. Has anyone had issues with side effects beyond the common ones like nausea and diarrhea? Also, what are the long-term risks of nervous system problems? Lastly, can anyone share how well Flagyl works for them? Is it effective for everyone?
Be careful with alcohol while on Flagyl. It can cause severe nausea and vomiting. Trust me, I learned the hard way.
I had a severe allergic reaction to Flagyl. My throat swelled up, and I had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. Definitely not something to mess around with.
I've been on Flagyl a couple of times and never had any serious side effects. Mostly just some upset stomach. It's important to drink lots of water and eat yogurt to keep your digestive system in check.
I had a bad experience with Flagyl. I ended up with a nasty rash and had to stop taking it. My doctor switched me to a different antibiotic, which worked just fine.
Flagyl worked well for my bacterial infection, but I had to deal with a lot of diarrhea for a week. It was worth it in the end because the infection went away, and I was able to resume my normal activities.
I'm on day 3 of Flagyl and so far, so good. No side effects yet, knock on wood. Hopefully, it keeps working for me.
What about long-term use? I've heard it can cause nerve problems. Anyone have experience with that?
