I had to stop taking it due to severe liver issues. The medication can be hard on the liver, so get your bloodwork done regularly.
Always remember, everyone's body reacts differently to medication. If you're experiencing severe side effects, talk to your doctor. They might need to adjust your dosage or switch you to something else.
Be careful with sun exposure. I got a bad sunburn after starting Pirfenidone and didn't realize the medication made me extra sensitive to the sun.
