Desoximetasone 0.25% Ointment 60gm: Has anyone had any burning, itching, or other irritation?
I've been using Desoximetasone 0.25% Ointment 60gm for a few weeks now to manage my psoriasis, and I've noticed some mild burning and itching at the application site. I've read that these are possible side effects, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced them and how long they lasted. Also curious if anyone has any tips for minimizing these irritations. I had to switch to a different medication because of the side effects. I wish I had known about the potential for skin thinning and hair growth before I started using it. I've had to stop using the medication because of it. It was unusual. The swelling was also a real problem.
Try to apply a thin layer only and avoid excessive use. I found that applying it sparingly reduced the irritation for me.
I've had some burning and itching too. It usually goes away after a few days once my body gets adjusted to the treatment. I would recommend sticking with it until the side effects disappear and consult your doctor is they persist. Up to your doctor if it effects stop
I've heard that using a moisturizer after applying the ointment can help with the burning and itching. It's a bit inconvenient, but it might be worth a try.
