Cyclosporine 0.05% Op Single Use 60: Has anyone tried these eye drops for chronic dry eye disease?
I've been struggling with chronic dry eye disease for months now, and my doctor recently prescribed Cyclosporine 0.05% Op Single Use 60 eye drops. I've heard mixed reviews about its effectiveness and side effects. I’m curious if anyone else has tried these eye drops and what their experience was like. How long did it take to see improvements? Did you experience any side effects? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
I tried the generic version and had a pretty bad reaction. Switched to the brand name and it’s been great. Might want to check if you can get the brand name if the generic isn’t working out.
I had a weird cough for a couple of weeks after starting Cyclosporine. It was annoying, but my doctor said it’s a known side effect and it should go away on its own. It did, thankfully.
I switched to artificial tears because I couldn’t stand the burning sensation with Cyclosporine. I think everyone’s experience is different, but it might be worth giving it a longer trial.
Any tips on applying the drops? I always end up blinking and missing half the drop.
