Carbidopa/levodopa ODT 25-250mg Tab: Life-Changing or Side Effect Nightmare?
I've recently been prescribed Carbidopa/levodopa ODT 25-250mg Tab for my Parkinson's disease. I've heard a lot about the potential side effects, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced them. How bad are the side effects? Are they manageable? Any tips on dealing with them?
I just started taking this and I'm already feeling less stiff. I hope it lasts. Thanks for all the tips, guys! If I experience any weird symptoms, I'll definitely check in.
I've been on this medication for a few months now, and while it's helped with my symptoms, the side effects have been a bit of a rollercoaster. I've experienced some dizziness and drowsiness, but nothing too severe. I've found that taking it with food helps a lot with the upset stomach. Just make sure to talk to your doctor about any changes in your symptoms.
This thread makes me think about how everyone reacts differently to medication. Stay safe and keep us posted!
Interesting that you had those problems. I haven't experienced any hallucinations. My biggest issue was the dark urine, which was pretty scary at first, but my doctor assured me it's harmless.
I’ve found that taking the medication in the morning helps me avoid some of the dizziness. I've also switched to a diet rich in fiber and use probiotics to combat the constipation. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it works for me. Your mileage may vary.
I was worried about the urge for gambling, but luckily, I haven't experienced that. I did have some mild constipation, but it was manageable with over-the-counter remedies. Just keep an eye on any sudden changes.
I've been on this for a year and haven't had any issues with sudden sleepiness. I hope it stays that way. Just be careful if you start doing some heavy road trips.
Several of the side effects sound like a real bummer. How can any of us know if the benefits outweigh the side effects?
