Carbamazepine ER 200mg Tablets: Side Effects, Uses, and Experiences
Hello everyone, I was recently prescribed Carbamazepine ER 200mg Tablets for my nerve pain and was a bit surprised to see the list of possible side effects. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has taken this medication. What have your experiences been like? Did you encounter any of the more urgent side effects? How did you manage them? Additionally, any tips on dealing with the more common side effects like dizziness or fatigue would be greatly appreciated.
If you experience any severe symptoms like the ones listed under urgent side effects, don't wait it out. Get to a doctor ASAP. I saw someone ignore the symptoms and it got really bad, really fast.
I've been on Carbamazepine ER for a few years now, and while it's helped my bipolar disorder immensely, I did experience some dizziness and fatigue at first. It got better over time, but I still have to be careful when I get up from sitting. Also, I really had to watch my sodium intake because of the low sodium level symptoms.
Has anyone else noticed it helps with mood swings? I'm not officially diagnosed but it's made a huge difference for me.
Only thing I noticed was constipation. Thanks a lot carbamazepine, now I get to deal with that. Oh well, it's better than the seizures.
