Calcipotrien/betamet Dip Oint 60gm: My Experience and Side Effects
I've been using Calcipotrien/betamet Dip Oint 60gm for a few weeks now to treat my plaque psoriasis. It's a topical ointment with two active ingredients: calcipotriene (a form of vitamin D) and betamethasone (a steroid). So far, I've noticed a significant reduction in redness and itching, but I'm also experiencing some side effects, particularly irritation at the application site. I wanted to know if anyone else has had similar experiences? Do the benefits outweigh the side effects? How long does it take to see results for the majority of people? I am considering switching to a new ointment but I'm concerned about side effects and how to use the new ointment. I've researched and found that Calcipotrien/betamet Dip Oint 60gm has its positives and negatives. I want to make sure I'm making the right decision. Also, I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to use this medication effectively and what to do when having trouble using it. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
I wouldn't recommend this ointment for anyone with sensitive skin. I ended up with stretch marks and skin breakdown. It's super irritating and I'm so glad I'm done with it!
I've been using this ointment for a while and it has really helped with my psoriasis. Just be careful with the side effects, though. Mine got worse when I was treating a large area with it. I was told not to use more than 100 grams per week. I also experienced some minor dizziness and fatigue – definitely talk to your doctor if you experience anything like that.
I was one of the unlucky ones who got an allergic reaction. First, I noticed a rash, and then my skin started peeling badly. I went to the ER and they told me it was a reaction to the ointment.

I think the itching is the worst. It makes me want to scratch the area but I just end up making it worse by breaking my skin.

I'm on my second tube of this stuff. So far, so good – no major side effects. Just remember to apply it thinly and not to use too much at once.
