Benazepril/hctz 20/12.5mg Tablets: Anybody Else Experiencing Intense Dizziness?
I was prescribed Benazepril/hctz 20/12.5mg Tablets for my high blood pressure a few weeks ago, and while I understand that dizziness is a common side effect, I'm finding it quite debilitating. I feel like I'm walking on a boat every day. Has anyone else experienced this? Did it go away over time, or are there any tips to manage it? I'm also worried about the more serious side effects like kidney problems. How often do these actually occur? It's a bit scary to think about. Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
I've been on this medication for over a year now. At first, I felt dizzy, but now I'm used to it. I couldn't be more happy with the results!
I felt the same way when I started taking it, but it got better after a few weeks. Just be careful when you stand up from sitting or lying down. Try to stand up slowly and you might want to wear those compression stockings.
Same here, I still get dizzy sometimes, but not as bad as when I started. I just make sure to stay hydrated and eat small meals throughout the day. Good luck!
I find that drinking plenty of water helps with the dizziness. Also, avoid sudden movements and take it easy for the first few weeks. Your body just needs time to adjust.
I can't believe some patients experience severe side effects, like swelling of the face or throat...that's crazy stuff.
I actually enjoy the dizziness. It's like a free roller coaster ride every day. Kidding! It's annoying, but manageable. Take it easy and give it time.
