Anyone have experience with Zithromax 500mg injections for severe bacterial infections? Share your story!
I was recently prescribed Zithromax 500mg Sdv Inj, 1 Vial for a severe case of pneumonia. I've never had an IV antibiotic before and I'm a bit nervous. The potential side effects are concerning, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions and liver problems. Has anyone else gone through this? I want to know what to expect. Also, what should I do if I start feeling some of the side effects? My doctor said to call, but you all know first-hand experiences are invaluable.
I wish I had known about the potential liver issues before. My friend got really sick and had to be hospitalized. Scary stuff, so definitely keep an eye out for those symptoms.
Be careful with the diarrhea. I had a friend who ended up with C. diff and it was a nightmare. Make sure to stay hydrated and if it gets really bad, go to the ER.
Remember, everyone's body reacts differently. I had no issues with Zithromax but a friend of mine had to stop taking it due to an allergic reaction. Always better to be safe and keep a close eye on symptoms.
