Anyone have experience with Triamcinolone Ace 40mg/ml Inj, 10ml? Pretty intense side effects list.
I've been prescribed Triamcinolone Ace 40mg/ml Inj, 10ml for an allergic reaction. The side effects list is pretty intimidating. I've read about everything from high blood pressure to adrenal insufficiency and a host of other serious issues. Has anyone else used this? I'm really anxious about taking it. Has anyone had experience with any of the more serious side effects? The thought of an allergic reaction is scary enough, but I don't want to trade one bad reaction for something even worse.
The side effects list is indeed scary, but I think it's important to remember that these are rare. I've had this injection multiple times for flare-ups of my skin condition, and I've never had any major issues. Just some mild stuff like sweating and nausea. Plus, it really helped with the inflammation.
Call me paranoid, but I refuse to take anything with that long of a side effects list. I'd rather deal with a little discomfort than risk something life-threatening.
I had this injection for a severe case of eczema. It worked wonders, but I did experience some muscle weakness and fatigue. Make sure to rest up afterwards. I also made a list of the side effects and kept it on my fridge so I would know what to look out for. Not fun to be that paranoid but it helped me feel safer.
I had a really bad reaction to this once. I developed Cushing's syndrome symptoms like weight gain and this moon face. It was horrible, and I had to stop the treatment.
It seems like the risk is worth it for the relief it provides. My doctor monitored me closely, and I didn't have any major issues. Just make sure you have regular check-ups and communicate openly with your doctor.
I had this for a severe allergic reaction, I'm not sure what happened but I ended up in the hospital. I'd be careful and be sure you know the signs of a serious reaction.
I've had it a few times for joint pain. It helped a lot, but I had some pretty bad insomnia and weight gain after.
My doc gave me a shot for a bad case of poison ivy. It totally knocked out the itching and swelling. I did get some weird dreams that night, but no big deal. Definitely worth it for the relief.
I had a friend who had a really bad allergic reaction to this stuff. Turns out she was allergic to one of the inactive ingredients. Just a heads up to check those too, folks.
Does anyone know if these side effects are dose-dependent? I'm wondering if a lower dose would have fewer risks. I'm thinking of asking my doc about that.
