Anyone have experience with Smoflipid 50gm/250ml Emul Inj 250ml? Good or bad?
I was recently prescribed Smoflipid 50gm/250ml Emul Inj 250ml and my docs have explained it's an intravenous (IV) fat emulsion to provide essential fats and calories. I am trying to find more about it from your experiences. Does anyone have experience with it? How was your experience? Did you have side effects? What are the precautions to take? I am worried about side effects. Thank you!

I had a bad experience with Smoflipid. I developed a rash and had trouble breathing. I didn't know if it was a reaction to the drug until i felt much better after stopping it. Always have an epipen ready.
Don't mess around with it if you have a history of pancreatitis or liver issues. It can be a game-changer but if you have conditions in the past then it may come back..
