Anyone Have Experience with Fiber-Lax 625mg Tablets for Chronic Constipation?
I've been struggling with chronic constipation for months now, and my doctor recommended Fiber-Lax 625mg Tablets. The description says it's a type of fiber that works like a sponge to make your stool softer and bulkier. Has anyone tried this before? I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like chest pain or allergic reactions. Has anyone experienced these? If so, how did you manage them? I want to make sure I'm prepared if something goes wrong. Also, how long does it typically take for this to start working?
I've had good results. Don't get me wrong, it's not the most exciting topic to discuss over dinner. But seriously, it's been a lifesaver for me. Just remember to start with a low dose and increase gradually.
I've been on it for a month, and it's been great. No side effects so far. Just make sure you don't take it right before bed, unless you want an early morning surprise haha.
I had a really bad reaction to it. I got hives and my throat felt tight. Went to the ER and they said it was an allergic reaction. Be careful!
I had really watery stools when I first started taking it. Turns out I wasn't drinking enough water. Once I upped my intake, it balanced out. Really helps with my diarrhea when I have it.
I've heard mixed reviews about it. Some people swear by it, others say it didn't do much for them. Maybe it depends on the severity of the constipation?
