Anyone else using Tazorac 0.05% Gel for acne and psoriasis? Share your experiences!
I've been using Tazorac 0.05% Gel for a few weeks now, and I'd love to hear from others who have used it to treat acne and psoriasis. It's a topical medication that belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids, which are related to Vitamin A. It works by helping skin cells grow and shed normally, and by reducing inflammation. I've noticed some improvement in my acne, but I'm also dealing with some side effects like skin irritation and dryness. I've been reading about other possible side effects, such as signs of an allergic reaction and swelling, and I want to make sure I'm doing everything right. How long did it take for you to see results? What were your experiences with side effects? Any tips on managing them? I'd appreciate any advice or shared experiences!
I've had a great experience with Tazorac for my acne. I'd recommend using a non-comedogenic moisturizer to combat the dryness. It took about 6 weeks for me to start seeing a noticeable difference in my skin.
I'm on week 4 and my skin is so dry! I keep using it because my derm told me to, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. Anyone else have this issue?
I started using Tazorac a month ago and I noticed some irritation at first, but it seems to have calmed down. I use a super gentle moisturizer afterwards and it's made a huge difference.
I tried Tazorac for my acne and it made me break out even more in the beginning. I wish I knew it was going to be like that. My derm suggested Retin-A makes it worth a try. I'm really hoping it works.
I had a freak out moment with the dry skin and thought it might not be worth it. But I had a friend try it too and she had major improvements. I stopped the treatment and now on Accutane to try and get the acne under control.
