Anyone else tried Adapal/benz 0.3-2.5% Gel(pmp) 45gm for acne? How effective was it?
I've been struggling with acne for years and my dermatologist recently prescribed me the Adapal/benz 0.3-2.5% Gel(pmp) 45gm. It's a topical gel containing adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. I'm hoping to unclog my pores, reduce inflammation, and kill those pesky acne-causing bacteria. I've heard it can be pretty effective, but I'm also a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the severe skin irritation. Has anyone else used this gel? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. How long did it take to see results? Did you experience any side effects? Any tips on how to apply it for best results?
I’ve found that using this gel with a good moisturizer helps a lot. It’s important to be patient though, it took me a few weeks to see a difference.
Side effects were brutal at first. I kept it up anyway because my skin eventually adapted. I also made sure to only apply a thin layer and avoid sensitive areas around my nose and eyes.
I’ve been on it for 2 months and haven’t seen any improvement. I’m about to give up.
I’ve heard that some people have trouble with this gel if they have sensitive skin. Make sure to patch test it first.
