Anyone else experiencing side effects from Lotensin 40mg Tablets?
Hi everyone, I was recently prescribed Lotensin 40mg Tablets for high blood pressure. I've been taking them for about a month now, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced any side effects. I've read that some people get dizziness or a persistent cough, but I'm curious about other people's experiences. Has anyone had to deal with anything more serious? I'm also interested in hearing about how long it took for the medication to start working effectively. Thanks!
I was prescribed Lotensin a couple of months ago, and it's been a mixed bag. I had some severe dizziness in the first week, but it subsided after a while. I’ve also noticed some changes in my urine output, so I’m keeping an eye on that. Overall, it’s manageable, but I wish the side effects weren’t so pronounced. Has anyone else had issues with their kidneys?
I just switched from another ACE inhibitor to Lotensin. I had some swelling in my ankles and legs, which is a big no-no. I consulted with the doctor and soon I was prescribed Lotensin, which has eased the swelling, so I’m pleased about that. My blood pressure is much better.

I’ve been on Lotensin for a while and I really hate the constant cough, but I do feel better overall. I’m gonna give it a few more months and see if the cough goes away. If not, I’m going back to the doctor to switch meds.

I've had a few sleepless nights since I started taking it. I can't figure out if it's the medication or just stress. I've had a persistent cough and fatigue as well. I'm going to the doctor next week.
