Anybody here have experience with Zoledronic 4mg/5ml Sdv Inj for metastatic bone cancer?
Hi all, I've been prescribed Zoledronic acid (Zoledronic 4mg/5ml Sdv Inj) to help manage bone pain and reduce fractures from my metastatic bone cancer. Has anyone else had experience with this treatment? I'm particularly interested in hearing about side effects and how they were managed. Also, curious about the infusion process and any tips for making it more comfortable. My doctor mentioned potential kidney issues, so I'm a bit nervous about that. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!
My mom had to stop taking it because of severe jaw pain. It was awful. Please be careful and report any unusual symptoms right away.
I had a really bad experience with this drug. I developed a severe rash and my doctor had to switch me to something else. Be prepared for the possibility of side effects, even if they're rare.
I've been on this for a few months now. The infusions are no big deal, just a few hours in the chair. Drink lots of water before and after to help with kidney concerns.
I had to get a bladder cam after my first few infusions because I developed a urinary tract infection from it. It was a mess for a bit, but it cleared up and I'm back to normal now. Please watch your flulike symptoms, they can be intense.
I was worried about the kidney issues too, but my doctor monitored my kidney function closely with blood tests. Make sure you're getting regular check-ups!
Anyone else feel like they're constantly thirsty after the infusion? It's like my body is trying to compensate for something.
This is a heavy topic. I wish you all the best with your meds. Try to stay positive, if you can.
