Anybody have experience with Xylocain/epinephrine 0.5% Inj, 50ml? What's it like and what side effects did you get?
I'm scheduled for a procedure soon, and my doctor mentioned using Xylocain/epinephrine 0.5% Inj, 50ml for local anesthesia. From what I've read, it's a combination of lidocaine and epinephrine to numb the area and reduce bleeding. Has anyone used this before? I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the more severe ones like allergic reactions or methemoglobinemia. Are these common or just rare possibilities? I'd appreciate any insights or personal experiences!

I'm glad to hear that the epinephrine helps reduce bleeding. That's definitely a plus. The doctor mentioned that it would also help the numbing effect last longer, which is great because I hate feeling like I'm missing half my face, but it's hard to find the right numbing and bleeding balance.
