Aminophylline 25mg/ml Inj, 10ml: Lifesaver or Last Resort?
I've been prescribed Aminophylline for severe asthma attacks. The doctor said it's a potent bronchodilator but also comes with some serious side effects. Has anyone had experience with this medication? How did it work for you? What about the side effects? Let me know your thoughts, please. Especially if you've had any of the more serious side effects.
As a nurse, I've seen this drug work wonders for patients in respiratory distress. But it's definitely not for everyone due to the side effects.
I had a fast heartbeat and some irregularities when I took this. It was scary. I’d rather deal with the asthma than those symptoms again.
Aminophylline works great for me when nothing else does. Just make sure you're in a safe place when you get the injection because you might feel a bit shaky afterward.
