Acutanphen/Cod #4 (300/60mg) Tabs: My Experience and Concerns About Side Effects
I was prescribed Acetaminophen/Cod #4 (300/60mg) Tabs for moderate to severe pain, and while they do the job, I'm worried about the side effects. I've read about some serious ones like allergic reactions and serotonin syndrome. Has anyone else had bad experiences with this medication? I'm considering switching to something else if the risks are too high. What are your thoughts?
I wish there was something stronger that didn't have these issues. Pain management is so tough.
I've heard that codeine can be addictive. Make sure you're using it as prescribed and not more!
I've been on this for a while and haven't had any serious side effects. But I do get really drowsy sometimes, so be careful if you're driving!
I think it's important to report any side effects to the FDA. We need more data on these things!
I've been reading about serotonin syndrome and it's scary. If you're taking other meds, be extra careful!
I get the flushing and dizziness. It's annoying but not as bad as other side effects could be.
I had a bad reaction to codeine once and had to stop immediately. Definitely talk to your doctor if you feel anything off.
I think the risks are worth it if you're in really bad pain. But definitely keep an eye out for those serious side effects.
I never knew about the low blood sugar symptoms. Good to keep an eye out for those too.
I switched to a different painkiller because of the constipation. It was awful!
